Statue of Minnehaha and Hiawatha, bronze, by Jakob Fjelde. The plaster version was exhibited at the Chicago World’s Columbian Exposition, in 1893. The piece was cast in bronze in 1912, and installed in Minnehaha park on October 5th. (100th anniversary next year!)  There’s a bit more  information about the piece on the MNopdeia website.

The Sea Salt restaurant, at Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis.
They serve fish.
This is an unusual picture, as most of the time there is a long line of hungry people stretching out the door and up the hill.

kubel gets rung up

back in the day you’d occasionally get baseball cards like this, multiple shots on one card.  I think I’ve got one somewhere, “Colovito’s Power”. (back in the day, like I said.)
usually they depicted a home run swing, however.  Sorry Kubes. We’ll get ’em next time.
