Winter of the Crows – 8

I know noble accents
And lucid, inescapable rhythms;
But I know, too,
That the blackbird is involved
In what I know.
Yesterday’s Phenology: Sunny and cool. Maybe in the mid 30s today. Cool enough to leave a layer of ice on many of the sidewalks. Heard a mysterious bird, saw it, but couldn’t identify it, too bright, too far away. Sounded very familiar, but didn’t get a good look at it. Heard a hawk over by lake of the isles, and then saw it circling over head. A breezy day, and the Hawk was having fun on the winds. Big Bird!
