Yesterday’s Phenology: First, today’s picture is of the baby bald eagle we saw at the dog park a couple weeks ago. Mom has just flown off, probably to go grocery shopping. Yesterday was mostly a cooler day than I thought it would be. A cold front (not to get all meteorological on you) pushed through, and then the sky got really quite dark, and then it rained a bit. Then it cleared off in the later afternoon and got sunny, and now it’s cloudy again. I’ve noticed, whenever there is a news story on the radio about heavy rain or snow somewhere, 99% of the time the story ends with “…One thing’s for certain: more rain is predicted for tomorrow.” Things are bad, and things will be worse tomorrow. Such is the human condition. Back to you, Stan.
A work day, and a rainy one, and little wildlife was noted. Oh, there was the Bald eagle swooping over the River Road on my way home. Probably the one that lives in the neighborhood. I wonder if he’s got a name? What would be a suitable name? Something to think on.
Anyway. One thing’s for certain: more rain is predicted for tonight AND tomorrow.
