Yesterday’s Phenology: A bit of a front moved through. Or something. Anyway it started raining in the early morning and rained most of the day. A good soaking.
Song of the day: Los Lobos, Will the Wolf Survive
Yesterday’s Phenology: A fairly perfect day; sunnyish in the morning, clouded over in the afternoon, rained in the evening. Nottalotta wind, maybe got into the 80s.
Song of the day: War, Four Cornered Room
Yesterday’s Phenology: Oh, for the cool spring weather. How I miss it. 84 degrees and, yes, sunny today. Very sunny, very warm. Big birds flying across the sky today, egrets or herons, one lake to another. Very graceful.
Song of the day: Blind Faith, Can’t Find My Way Home
Yesterday’s Phenology: Almost a perfect day, especially from a bike-riding perspective: overcast. upper sixties, low seventies? Not much wind at all. All this led to a pretty nice ride. There’s a lot of water locally. There’s a gully by the greenway that is usually dry. I see cats down there sometimes when I’m just getting onto the bikeway. Today: 4 mallards, paddling about. Now that all the trees are leafed out, I hear more birds than I see. Today featured the Red-winged blackbirds.
Song of the day: Los Lobos, Wicked Rain
Yesterday’s Phenology: Rain, light rain, heavy rain, drizzle, mist, fog, rain, heavy rain, more rain, rain rain rain and more rain. It rained all day. The temp slowly climbed up through the 40s, and it was a bit breezy at times. A lot of rain. A nice morning to sit under the awning at Isles Bun and coffee, enjoy a scone and some coffee and watch the rain fall. Lots of very wet birds out there now, and a lot of unhappy worms. One thing’s for certain: more rain is predicted for tomorrow.
Song of the day: Bruce Springsteen, Streets of Fire
Yesterday’s Phenology: It felt like a fall day. Temps in the 40s and overcast, a bit foggy in the morning. Rained the night before for quite awhile. Maybe things will green up soon?
Song of the day: Simon and Garfunkel, A Hazy Shade of Winter
Yesterday’s Phenology: overcast and a tiny bit warmer. Almost not measurably warmer, but still, a bit warmer. And a bit rainy in the late afternoon. A little rain will be good.
Song of the day: Duke Ellington, It Don’t Mean a Thing
